This one is wool, woven in a herringbone that gives it texture from across a room and warmth up close. Two-button front, notch lapels, structured shoulders and inside pockets — the construction of a proper jacket rather than a shirt with lapels.
Tweed is heavier than cotton, and it should be. That weight is what lets it stand in for a coat on a dry October day.
